This is acrylic, and pastel on gallery stretch canvas with a base of decoupage and glass beads. 30in x 24in x (1.5in thick)
This painting has been created with many layers of paint, glass beads and decoupage to give a rich, textured artwork. There are rich reds, yellows and pinks with gold that are offset with a cool sage green ands lines of sky blue. This is part of my 'Squares' series where the many layers of paint and colours are 'controlled' within the square lines. The painting makes me think of old doors with peeling paint in a hot place. It makes my daughter think of an ice cream parlour in the Wild West, hence its name.
The painting is wired and ready to hang and has been finished with a professional UV resistant varnish.
